The Mahoning County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society was founded in 1972 on the principles and guidelines of The Ohio Genealogical Society. It is their mission to help and to educate those who are searching out their family histories, especially those with family roots here in Mahoning County. To fulfill this mission,they provide volunteers at both the Mahoning County Courthouse and The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County - main branch.
